| Aberdeen is a city located in Brown County, in the northeastern part of South Dakota. It is approximately 125 miles (200 kilometers) northeast of the state capital, Pierre, and about 214 miles (344 kilometers) west of Minneapolis, Minnesota. Aberdeen had a population of 28,495 people in 2020. It is the third-largest city in South Dakota, after Sioux Falls and Rapid City. | |
